Biografie
Max Lindemann was born in the Ruhr area in 1989.
He studied directing at the „Ernst Busch“ Academy of Dramatic Arts in Berlin and took part in the international directing network ‚Alexandria Nova‘ in Copenhagen. Together with dramaturge Johannes Nölting, he researched individuals in capitalist realism and theater spaces as a possibility for community building. In his work, he deals with the subject of class and characters who are pushed to the margins of society.
This was followed by productions at the Berliner Ensemble, Schauspiel Frankfurt, Münchner Volkstheater and Volkstheater Rostock as well as audio plays for Deutschlandfunk. In addition to his productions at the theater, he also works as a screenwriter.
In 2019, he was awarded a scholarship from the German National Academic Foundation.
